Amaroo Environmental Education Centre conducts environmental activities with students from Queensland prep, primary, secondary and special schools.

Programs conducted by the centre meet the Essential Learnings of the Queensland school syllabus.

The centre is located north of Toowoomba, at the site of the former Kleinton State School.

Amaroo supports the Queensland Environmentally Sustainable Schools Initiative (QESSI). The centre has partnered with the Queensland Murray-Darling Committee to form the Darling Downs QESSI Hub.

Primary Schools in the Murray Darling Basin are invited to participate in Special Forever, an environmental communications project managed by e:lit (Primary English Teaching Association) on behalf of the Murray-Darling Basin Authority.
